Our aim
We want everyone to be able to use taftan.io, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or voice control. Our target is level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2.
What works now
- Every page declares its language. Persian pages are set right to left.
- A skip link at the start of each page takes keyboard users to the main content.
- The site does not block zoom. You can zoom to 500 percent.
- If you set your device to reduce motion, the decorative animations made with CSS stop.
- The site works without cookies, and no third-party script changes the page.
Compliance status and known problems
We have not yet completed a full WCAG 2.2 audit, so we do not claim full conformance. These are the problems that we know about:
- The "page not found" page for an unknown address is a simple English page without the site menu or footer. Its one link, back to the home page, works without scripts.
- Some animated illustrations are drawn by scripts. We have not checked that all of them stop when you set your device to reduce motion.
- Some tables, such as the platform compatibility table, scroll sideways on small screens.
- We have not yet measured the colour contrast of every text and background combination.
